How to Earn Bonus
To qualify:
- For every month your Savings Builder account balance grows by at least $200, BMO Harris Bank will credit the account with a $5 savings reward within 5 calendar days after the end of the month.
- Your account is eligible for 12 savings rewards beginning with the month your account is opened.
- The first savings reward is based on your savings growth from the Business Day the account is opened through the last Business Day of that month.
- If your initial deposit is not received until the month after account opening, the account will only be eligible for 11 savings rewards.
Avoid Monthly Fees
- Smart Money Account: $5.00 monthly, can be waived when you are under the age of $25.
- Smart Advantage Account: By opting into E-Statements, you waive the monthly service fee.
- Premier Account: $25.00 monthly, waive the fee if you meet any of the following requirements:
- The minimum daily Ledger Balance in your account is $10,000 or more for the previous calendar month.
- You have a Monthly Combined Balance of $25,000 for the previous calendar month.
- You are the owner of a BMO Investment Services (BIS) account and have requested the waiver from your BMO Harris Banker.
- You’re a client of our employee benefits program, Best of BMO U.S., and have requested the waiver from your BMO Harris Banker.
